Running, Free Verse Poetry

But where?

Unknown to the past

Glorious to the future

Does a single day

Not sum up every year?

What appeared to be away,

Only lead back to the essence.

Tears as the fire burns the soul

Cleansing it of impurity

Perfecting the man

Before his grand return.

Inevitable hindsight

Oh we should have known

Former pain transforms to a smile

Understanding the work of God?

Yet to be done

Continuing on

Never alone

Looking for what is to come.
